Keith Inouye Bio

Keith started training back in 2004 under Ira Ho'okano (Maui Full Contact Fighting). Keith trained under Ira for about 7 months learning submission wrestling and kickboxing. In January, 2005 Keith moved to Brazilian Freestyle Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Romolo Barros and Ermin Fergestrum. After only 4 months of training Keith was promoted to the rank of blue belt in April 2005. Eventually in November 2007 Keith received a well deserved promotion to the rank of purple belt. In 2008 and after long discussions with family, friends and with the blessing of Professor Romolo Barros Keith opens up Maui Grappling Academy. In July 2010 Keith was promoted to the rank of brown belt under Professor Romolo Barros.
